Jaime Partagas has a strong position in the history of Partagas. He belonged to a region of Spain, the Catalunya. He was working in the Cuba as a supplier of cigars for the years. In the late 1800’s he determined to sell his factory. Ramon Cifuentes and Francisco Pego purchased the Partagas brand of cigars. These two died in 1938 and 1940 respectively. The brand was then under the control of Cifuentes family. This family is still the owner of the Partagas Cuban cigars brand and the other Cuban cigar brands also.
